The Police, U2 ,The Clash Billy Idol, REM ,Aerosmith & Motley Crue

I sold my business 3 years ago and decided to write about my five and half year journey which took place from 1980 to 1986. It's a first hand account of traveling with some of the greatest rock & roll bands of the eighties, The Police, U2, The Clash, Billy Idol, Aerosmith, John Mellencamp, REM & Motley Crue. I worked with each band as a concert merchandiser. My book, ROCK MY WORLD, is available on amazon @ KINDLE BOOKS, in the music section. Take a look!

Let's play: Name that movie (from the quote)

Okay, so I will say a quote from a movie from the 80's and you say the movie, and then do a quote of your own. This might get this board moving a bit. Or not. Just thought I would try."Nobody puts Baby in the corner!"

"That crazy Indian is not my spouse!'

I'm looking for a comedy movie I saw in the late 80's/early 90's. It was an action comedy about some bad guys chasing some good guys; it had some slapsticky moments, and one particular scene I remember had a Native American man outside a gas station spouting nonsense. One of the main characters goes into the store and says something to the clerk, a Native American woman, to the effect of "Your husband said this..." She immediately responds with "That crazy Indian outside is NOT my spouse!" At the end of the film there are a bunch of blooper reels playing over the credits. Can anyone tell me what movie this is??

We are slackin here people!

Okay, this board is kinda slow, and we all LOVE the 80's right? So I propose a new thought: Say when you graduated from high school, your favorite song at the time, and how big your hair was....ha. Oh, and did you wear leg warmers? I graduated in 1986, my hair is still as big as a perm can possibly make it, (pretty lame now that I am in my 40's), my fav song was Freebird by Skynard. I DID wear leg warmers, but that was earlier when I was about 13 and totally into Olivia Newton John. ANybody else wanna remember wit me?????

Ferris Bueller's Day Off: film and related music

In Cameron's room...when Rooney calls the "Cawthorne Brothers Mortuary" and the answering machine picks up..we see a framed U2 picture on the wall. It looks like from the Boy era. Can anyone identify it exactly? Also, John Hughes personally decorated Ferris' room with his own posters, etc. When Ferris is adjusting his equalizer we see a Bryan Ferry LP over his shoulder. What album is it?The posters that I can plainly see are:Bryan Ferry- Slave to Love (over his bed)Simple Minds- Don'y You Forget About Me (to right of door)Cabaret Voltaire-Microphonies (to left of door)Killing JokeFlesh For Lulu-Blue Sisters SwingFlesh For Lulu- Baby HuricaneThe Damned-PhantasmagoriaModern EnglishCan anyone identify any more???As he's playing the clarinet..there is a b/w poster over his right shoulder with the letters ST ..and... BL. It's under a Flesh For Lulu banner. As he's dancing to I Dream of Jeannie..we see a poster with a bee on it.As he's talking to the freshmen on the phone, next to the U.S. Flag, there is a white poster with a large blue "U" on it and the word "came" on the bottom. Finally, right when Cameron says "Do you know what my diastolic is?" There is a poster...i believe next to The Damned poster...that says "snake charmer' on it.Little help??..... Does anyone recognize these?

R You Looking for a movie from the 80's that is only available on VHS?

I have a HUGE VHS-80's collection of movies!! (& 90's) And I'd Love to give you the opportunity to find that long, lost movie you've been looking for!! What can I look for you in my VHS Library? And, YES, many are movies that are out of print! They are all playable! I would NEVER sell or trade a movie that is non-playable. About 70% of my VHS Boxes are in Perfect Condition and the rest were rentals, but are in good condition and do NOT effect the way the movies play. Feel free to just talk about movies in general with me! (except NO Horror). FUN MOVIE TRIVIA QUESTION:Have YOU Seen a Movie recently (or long ago), that you really enjoyed and/or just keep thinking about it? (Older or New Release) And that You want to tell people about it? Maybe a "Hidden Gem"? I'd LOVE to Hear You Tell Me About it! (I've Got about a Dozen "Gems" that I Love!..And I Will List them later after I've gotten some responses!)CAN YOU: Tell me "The Title"; "How it made you Feel", AND "Anything Else You Want to Share" about the movie? Don't Worry, No judgements here! ENJOY! HAVE FUN WITH IT!! Feel free to answer me back here on this Amazon Link ....OR:You can Email Me anytime! @ My Email Addy: alohalover1@gmail.com

Video Identification

Can someone help? There was a New Romantic-ish video that used to get a lot of club play (at least here in NYC) that involved a group of guys in kilts (no, we're not talking Spandau Ballet) and a rather anorexic-looking ballerina. It was in a minor key and had a sort of "heavy" beat. I recall reading at the time that it was a single that had been released only on video, but I can't remember the name of the tune or that of the band.

Benetton Bags

It's drivign me crazy I can't find any internet pictures or even mentions of these bags. I remember them - kind of cylinder shaped - maybe like a duffel bag - they had a draw string. I had one that was pink and my friend had a great one that was clear/see through.

The birth of Mtv

I would like to see Mtv/VH1 put out a DVD compilation of ALL of those great videos that appeared on Mtv in the earliest days of the program. I have tried to make one of my own using videos that I've found on YouTube. I'm sure that there are some that I have forgotten about over the past 28 years though. Anyone have suggestions?
